Overview

I’m a motivated integrator-teacher-coach of information technology, driven to inspire others to pursue academic and personal excellence. I strive to develop, implement and adapt methods and pedagogies to create a personalized, challenging and engaging learning environment in which those whom I teach and train also become life-long learners. My team-building, co-worker coaching and leadership abilities are well developed after two decades in the field. I consider myself a detail-oriented problem solver with solid communication and organizational skills, both supported by a track record of optimizing instructional technology productivity.

Summary

  • 20 years of experience in teaching and co-teaching at K-12 levels and adult education utilizing an assortment of different pedagogies, including on-line teaching, project-based learning (PBL), inquiry-based learning, and several of the world's most renowned K-12 curriculums (British GSCE/IGCSE, Australian HSC, American AP and International IB).
  • Experience developing and integrating education technology projects into STEAM cores, from needs analysis to implementation of tailored systems.

Achievements

  • Having prior experience with several digital learning systems and online meeting platforms, I successfully navigated the 100% remote and hybrid phases of the Covid-19 pandemic wherein my students maintained or exceeded their previous levels of academic achievement with no significant loss or delay in their learning schedules.
  • Highest exam results (Level 6) for students of Software Design and Development in the Australian HSC curriculum.
  • Successful implementation of Blended Learning with a performance increase of 30% in overall grades (STEAM) throughout primary school in both English and Spanish.
  • Exemplary U.S. accreditation ratings for ICT departments in all opportunities at every former school.
  • Redesigned curricula including core class integration, many of which are still being used to date.
  • Successfully implemented a school-wide network system with solid security, full web facilities for academics & administration/ in-house email / filtering & monitoring / user management services and automated central rollouts.
