The Conference of “segundas lenguas” is a conference held in Uruguay every two years to present experiences of different schools nationwide related to second languages, specifically English and Portuguese. We presented our experiences with blended learning in a classroom of fifth graders studying British History with English as a second language.

The modality of blended learning of a second language by studying history has proven to be an effective method that substantially raises standardized test scores.
